Birthday Party Activities

What to do with the kids at the party? Even if you get a bounce house or other inflatable (www.BrowardBounce.com), you'll probably still want some other activity for the kids to do. Try thinking outside the box, and get more bang for your buck.

For example, a craft activity that they can enjoy making and use after the party. For older kids and perhaps a spring or summer party, get some flip flops at the dollar or craft store, along with glue, ribbons, gemstones, beads, silk flowers, etc. and let the kids decorate their own flip flops. They'll enjoy the project and every time they wear them, they'll think of the great party they went to!

Other ideas might be tye-dye t-shirts. They sell kits at the craft stores, or you can do it the old fashioned way with dye in a bucket, and t-shirts with rubber bands. Offer several color options. You can also decorate picture frames, and take a photo (digital or polaroid) of each child with the birthday child. Print them off and put the photos in the frames and send them home as the party favor. Younger kids can decorate sand pails or buckets; foam photo frames, or even beach balls with markers.

Come on down!

We're going to be at FAMILY NIGHTS at the Weston Town Center every Saturday, starting Oct. 4th. Each Saturday evening from 6-10 at the Town Center Plaza, you'll find inflatables to jump and play on -- even for the toddlers! Live entertainment and a variety of vendors. Come on down and play awhile!
